E series FRM, Footwell Module Repair
Description
E Series FRM3 module (Footwell Module) is used on:
BMW E81, E82, E84, E87, E89, E90, E91, E92, E93, E70, E71, E72 series
and Mini R55, R56, R57, R58, R59, R60, R61 series
FRM has three connectors,
Two 51-pin connectors connect the main wiring harness.
Another 26-pin connector is for the connection to the dashboard.
FRM, Footwell Module is responsible for:

Headlight
-
Taillights
-
Fog lights
-
Front courtesy lighting
-
Rear courtesy lighting
-
Number-plate light
-
Power windows
-
Exterior mirrors
-
Two stepper motor controllers, aka adaptive headlight stepper motors

Two belt feeder controllers
Problem
FRM3 can fail when jumpstarting, when coding/programming, or even when reading codes with dealer equipment.
Symptoms of failed Footwell Module are:

Light switches do not work
-
Windows do not go up or down
-
Few lights like parking lights are constantly on
-
Turn lights do not work
Solution
We fix them, fixed/revived footwell modules by us are "Plug&Play"
Which means no additional coding or programming is needed.
FRM3 is located on the left side of the pedals, behind the plastic cover. It has three connectors.
One connector is from the door side, and two connectors are on the back, from the firewall side.
How it Works
You will need to send us your FRM3 module; we will repair it and send it back.
Turnaround usually is the same day, unless the mailman delivers the package late.
Keep in Mind
Keep in mind that BMW has a SIB012016 covering FRM3 failures,
Initially, it was 8 Years/125K miles
In 08.2018, they updated it to 10 Years/156K Miles

* If you do not experience the symptoms described above, it's not a typical FRM3 failure, so please get in touch with us first before placing an order.
Attention: Please do not place an order if you have FRMFA or FRMII Footwell modules (written on the label)

As long as we are getting FRM2-s by mistake, please pay attention to the picture below. On the image, its FRM2. Please do NOT send it for repair.
